Print Store Update: First Batch of 12" x 15" Prints Is Out

Smaller test prints for further tuning.

I’m excited to share that the first batch of 12" x 15" prints for my print store is finally ready. For this round, three images are printed on Ilford Gallerie Fineart Textured Silk, and two are printed on superior semigloss photo paper based on special requests.

The black and white print really stands out on the Ilford Textured Silk. The paper gives the shadows a deep, rich look, and the slight texture adds a beautiful artistic feel. For colour images, this paper almost creates a watercolour-like effect, which feels very soft and painterly. Prints on the Ilford Textured Silk looks real to life and I can only image how good it can be when printed even bigger. As all the images are capable of printing up to 50" long edge to fully utilise all the resolution details.

The semigloss option, on the other hand, allows the images to shine more, especially if the photo has strong highlights or vibrant details as it is capable of handling a much wider colour gamut.

All prints will be paired with a 2" x 4" mat board, bringing the final framed size to roughly 18" x 25".
