My Photo Published on Nat Geo: I Guess I’m a National Geographic Photographer Now? (Well… Kind Of.)

It is a garlic, in case you are guessing.

I am pretty sure every photographer has that quiet dream: one day, maybe I’ll have my photo published on the prestigious Nat Geo magazine and website. Well… it finally happened — though in the most unexpected way possible.

Recently, one of my images was licensed and featured on National Geographic Portugal as their Photo of the Day. Honestly seeing my photo published on Nat Geo felt surreal, almost like unlocking a secret achievement I didn’t know I was chasing.

This is a small little moment worth celebrating. While not many appreciates abstract style images, getting published in a highly reputable platform meant something to me as a photographer. It’s a reminder that photography has a way of taking on a life of its own. Sometimes your work ends up traveling further than you ever planned — and sometimes, it ends up on Nat Geo.
