Pre-Conception to Final Image.

From pre-conception to final image. Throwing back to a large product photoshoot that we did on location. The brief was to shoot a our client's product (in this case a large size speaker from Bassboss) in as many creative ways as possible. But we know that there is only that much ways that we could photograph a big black box.

Inspired by the idea of sneak peek, I have decided to go with a silhouette mood while highlighting the speaker's new design feature with a narrow and precise lighting while taking advantage of the surrounding environment. The key into this is lighting control, it is quite challenging to photograph a large black box that has non reflective surface. It will pretty much absorb all the light you throw at it. The only way you could make the light show up is to get it at a specific angle targetting the angle of reflectance. Coupled with post-production, we could produced some interesting visuals on-location itself.

Combining all the right tools results in an image that shows mystery yet reveal enough for viewers to be curious on.
